Jungle Lodge v. Chan Chich (Belize)

I stayed at Chan Chich a few years ago and loved it, especially the setting, accomodations and wildlife viewing. Although I'd be content returning, I'd like to try a new place. While the ruins in Tikal alone are reason to travel there, how is the wildlife viewing? And can anyone compare the overall experience of Chan Chich with Jungle Lodge? Thanks.

To clarify, while I'd be content returning to Chan Chich, I'm considering the Tikal area and staying at Jungle Lodge. Sorry for not being clear.

Lodges in the park are for people who want access to the site and jungle during their stay. Nothing special, but good enough and I use the Jungle lodge alot with few if any complaints.

Thanks Katie. By chance, have you stayed at Chan Chich and, if so, how would you compare it with Jungle Lodge?

Yes, I've stayed there, can't compare. Jungle Lodge in Tikal is moderate and basic, but great for people visiting Tikal who want to stay in the jungle. Chan Chich is a remote upscale lodge in a huge reserve, great accommodations, service, guides, very good restaurant.
