Is Chichen Itza open for visitors Christmas day?

Yes, we liked Cancun so much we are going back with our kids and their families plus another family...there will be 14 to17 of us if we all come. We will stay at the Hyatt and take 5 or 6 days to tour Chichen andTutum and one other stop. We want to see the country as well as enjoy the beach. Looks like we liked it a lot plus it is easy to get to. This time we will get a chance to do some of of the things you recommended.
