Introduction To Puerto Vallarta....TIMESHARE SHARKS ATTACK

I just a wonderful 12 day vacation in PV over Christmas and I had not been there for years so I was surprised and angry at the first experience we had as we entered the town..After getting off the airplane ,went through customs,got our luggage and followed the signs to exit .We went through a set of doors which i thought was going to lead us out to the airport terminal but instead it was into an area that had these "officials" with badges directing us to a counter ..It took a few minutes until I realized this was a TIMESHARE sales pitch that was set up to look like an official Gov`t entrance desk.I was asked for my hotel and transportation vouchers and the "official" wanted info on where we were staying and for how long...Then he wanted to give me a free ride into town and take me for lunch,blah,blah ,blah...I do not mind someone trying to make a living selling....BUT this was deceptive...It starts the vacation off with a negative feeling and it looks like the local city fathers have set this up and it was TACKY...Once I got the drift I had to ask for my papers twice before I was able to get them and move on and find my legit greeter from our charter group...Great trip but a bad start that I am sure tricks some people
