Iguana Lodge Osa - Questions

We are probably going to book the Iguana Lodge for next February. My only concern is the noise and the lack of privacy in the club rooms. I was lucky enough to secure a room right at the far end of the units on the top floor, which would probably help. I know Hip has stayed here. Anyone have anything to say about this place? Is this a nice property? Is it pretty laid back, or is it somewhat snooty (don't like snooty!!) Feedback much appreciated. Gracias!

Well, I'm snooty and didn't feel like the place catered to me in any unique way. The club rooms used to be the a small hotel called the Pearl of the Osa. They are quite nice now and are close to the area where the Friday night dance probably still is held. That is LOUD.It's a nice place with very good food. In February it will be pretty laid back since I will not be there.

I'm working with Maxine to book our club rooms for next year and she's very quick to respond. I've read that the salsa dance is on Friday nights and a lot of fun, but is over by around 9 pm. Tuesday nights offer a beach BBQ.

T/A has lots of very good reviews on it. I'm looking forward to staying there, but it will be after your trip.

Hi I have not stayed here but stayed at a property nearby and went there to eat often and did look at the club rooms I found the property charming and we ate there often and the food was great. I do not think it is a party type of place while it could get a little noisy for the friday night party it will not be an all night party. the beach bbq is great too.

I stayed there 2 years ago but in one of the houses & loved it! It looks like there have been a lot of changes since then but while we were there, it was very laid back. We thought the food was good & reasonably priced and the owners/staff couldn't have been nicer. We weren't there for the Friday night party so I can't comment on the noise but I would definitely go back.
