We are thinking of going to Puerto Morelos Feb 10, 2006. Has anyone been to the Mayan Riviera since the hurricane? Are the beaches still walkable and beautiful? How about the palm trees and vegetation? How did the Paradisus Maya Riviera fare?

I was there last month and stayed in PDC. Since PM is further north and was hit harder than PDC I'm not sure of the amount of repair. PDC is back to normal as are other places south.
We were at the Barcelo Maya in Nov. The beach was great. The palm trees looked like the fronds were shorter than usual, but not stripped. Playa del Carmen was fully operational. Keep in mind this was just one month after Wilma. I'm sure the vegetation will look great by Feb. Enjoy.
