Hotel Angela or Hotel Del Parque ~ Bocas del Toro

I have narrowed down my hotel choices to either Hotel Angela or Hotel Del Parque. Hotel Angela is just a few dollars more per night and on the water but both have relatively good reviews when I searched. Has anyone stayed at either? Can you recommend one over the other for location/cleanliness/safety/comfort?

Thanks!!!

I have not stayed at either. There is no real beach in Bocas Town so Bluff Beach or Bastimentos have some good places to stay. This place has good food: http://www.cocomoonthesea.com

Booked a few nights at Hotel Angela... but any other tips/suggestions for my time there (restaurants, dive/snorkel companies, etc. would be most appreciated.

@Boberg (Barb) ~ I have noticed that qwovadis has posted this description of Bocas in a few places... As I have yet to go I cannot tell you more but I do personally know 3 people that have been (on separate trips) in the past 6 months and loved it! I am confirmed for the Hotel Angela for 4 nights in January and will be posting a trip report upon my return. If you are not making your reservations before then I would be happy to give you my opinion once I return. If you are I would say go... there has to be a reason why it's one of the top destinations in Panama (and highlighted in every travel guide)!!!

Safe travels...
