Honeymoon In Arenal & Monteverde - Best RESTAURANTS?

Jump to last reply

My fiance and I are traveling to Costa Rica for our honeymoon in June and are so excited for our trip. We are starting in Alajuela and are going to visit Arenal and Monteverde.

We are staying at Hotel Villa Bonita in Alajuela, The Lost Iguana Resort in Arenal area, Hotel Fonda Vela in Monteverde area, and finally the Hotel Bougainvillea in Santo Domingo de Heredia. We will be driving so we will have a car.

What are some of your favorite "don't-miss" restaurants in these areas and what did you enjoy eating there? We are hoping to spend under $10 on an average meal, but could spend more on a special splurge meal. We love all kinds of foods. My fiance loves spicy food.

My fiance and I both have very delicate digestive systems and tend to get stomach problems often, so we want to be sure to pick restaurants that have good quality-control and won't make us sick.

Thanks in advanced for the help. :-)
