Honeymoon August 2016

Hello all-

My fiance and I need advice on where to go for our honeymoon. We are looking to do a short 6 night, 7 days somewhere, preferably all-inclusive. We will be traveling from Boston, MA and our budget is around $5,000.

We have already been to Mexico and are probably going again for a company trip next year so we want to stay away from there and the Dominican Republic. I thought Costa Rica would be perfect since we are looking for somewhere that has an amazing beach but also some adventure away from the beach (i.e volcano's, rain-forest, zip-lining, ATV's etc.) but after some research it seems all the adventure is far away from the beach there and we would rather not stay at two different hotels since we are only doing a week.

Any help would be awesome since we have not really been anywhere and there is so many options!

Don't expect amazing beaches in Belize - if that's a priority I'd try somewhere else. That said, we really enjoy Belizes and there are areas with nice beaches both on the mainland and on the cayes.

How about this place and a day trip up a jungle river to the Lamanai Maya site for your adventure?

Congratulations and have a great trip, whatever you decide!

The four countries you listed aren't known for all inclusives. The adventure stuff in Belize is also away from the coast. It sounds like you should be looking at the Caribbean or elsewhere.

Agreeing with the post above, the countries you named aren't really known for the All-Inclusive style resort (I'm sure it can be found but it's not typical).

Mexico's a huge country. Are you sure you wouldn't be open to seeing another part of it, than you have visited before? Or the Caribbean islands? That's more where I think of if AI is a must.

I'm sure you have already thought of this, but also with a relatively short trip length, the Caribbean would be a shorter flight for you than Central America.
