Here and there Pics of CR

Just thought I would put out a few pics of our travels in CR and a little beyond. In 15 yrs we have taken a whole lot more but have mostly just posted the ones taken since the digital age was finally accepted in our household. These pics reflect only a few of the 60 or so places we have stayed in the country. There are a few older scanned pics but scanner isn't working great. There have not been significant changes to the places where I have put in older pics. Hope the link works.

Maryvh,
Mariposa is the name of the room. It is one of the cabinas at Bosque del Cabo that you may have been hearing a lot about on this forum. I have been going there for several years now and you can probably tell by all the pictures of it that it is one of my favorite places.

I am glad you enjoyed them.

Sooooo glad you will finally get to go out with him. I learn so much every time. The pics were the first time we had seen any snakes.

Your visit is coming up quickly! Can't wait for your thoughts on Nicuesa. Shouldn't say that because it will mean all the fun of anticipating and planning are over and you have to start all over again! Don't know how much time I will have for just fun on our next trip. At least 3 weeks will be learning the trees and talking to architects and builders. I already have hours and hours of studying to do for it. My niece is going down for the first time, hopefully, around then so I am hoping to meet up with her.

Sweet dreams until you leave,
Sue

Hi Suzie2,

I really enjoyed your photos. The site of your property looks fantastic! You've had some wonderful travels through Central America. I hope to follow in your footsteps.

Suzie2,

Thank you so much for the photos. We are traveling to BdC in less than 2 weeks, so I especially enjoyed the BdC photos.

Sue-thank you !

I was having 'one of those mornings' where nothing seemed to be going right, checked out Fodors for a bit of stress relief then enjoyed a 20 minute 'Costa Rican mini-vacation' with your photos. They brought to mind some wonderful memories.

Was that laughing falcon sitting on your shoulder....lol ?

Jerry,
Nothing like a little Pura Vida to set the day straight. No, the laughing falcon was out in a field. The miracle of scopes! It was taken with Orlando's help. He is so good with it. We tried to take pics of birds in Guatemala with a smaller one on our own and trying to focus the camera and the scope if the bird even sat still long enough to find him in it did not result in a whole lot of bird pics. All the more respect for those guides that can do it in a heart beat. Hopefully we will have time to practice on our own more before going someplace again.

I have enjoyed everyone elses pictures so much so that I thought I would repay your generous time and efforts getting them posted and share a few of my own (with a little (lot) of help from a friend). Couldn't have done it without her. Glad you enjoyed them.

Moonpie,
glad I didn't post all my Bosque pics. You will still have a few very pleasant surprises. Have a wonderful trip!

Earthtraveler,
You know I will love looking at your pics. I need to take lessons from all of you on how to take good bird pictures. I am sure others will enjoy them too and who knows, we may end up with a few new birders. Hard not to be one down there.

cmerrell,
We are so hooked on Central America. Costa Rica is our first love down there but we are finding that there are some wonderful things to see and learn about just a short way away. Happy travels
