Help with Buenos Aires
My wife and I are interested in visiting BA in mid April. Will it be warm then? What month is it comparable to here in the states? How much time do we need to do BA justice? Is it worth a trip by itself? Is there a resort area nearby for some beach activity that time of year? What other side trips, if any, would you recommend? Any other general advice would really be appreciated (hotels, etc). Thanks.

Thank you, cmcfong, what would become of me without you?
April here is early fall and could be somewhat like early October in NY.
At least a week.
Of course.
No beaches nearby and a bit cool anyway.
The rest of the question is too general. I would suggest some research on the tripadvisor Argentina forum and coming back here or there with more specific questions.
For instance, I can tell you which are the best hotels and restaurants in Buenos Aires, but they may or may not fit your budget or preferences.
Have a great time in our country.

My husband and I visited Buenos Aires for the first time last November and absolutely loved it. We consider it one of our best trips ever.
When planning our trip I did considerable research on the net, guidebooks, travel forums, etc. I have compiled all that info, including websites, a short travelogue, things about the city (transportation, shopping, museums and more), etc. and would be happy to send it to you. If you're interested, please e-mail me.
cmcfong: keep a spot open in the fan club for me! Threads from both of these gentleman were very helpful when planning our trip.
