Has anyone stayed at the Hacienda Temozon which is 30 min. outside of Merida? The brochure looks sumptious but they are very expensive. Is it worth every penny? Any more information you can provide would be appreciated.

please advise...has anyone stayed at this place?
I know this is a 14 yr. old post. But I am at Hacienda Temozon now, for the second night of a two night stay. I am on an extended trip to see the Mayan ruins in Q. Roo and the Yucatan and Chiapas. I am going to post a trip report which will include a report on Hacienda Temozon in case anyone needs info in the future.
Since this just popped back up and it's the best-located one of the Luxury Collection haciendas, I'll chime in an say it's a great base for exploring Uxmal and the other ruins nearby. Is it worth it? Well it depends on how special that special someone with you is, but it's a magical place unlike most other hotels you will stay in. I think this review sums it up well:

It is a very good deal to use cash and points at this Starwood property. That way it costs $90 a night and is very very worth it. And in spite of using points and cash, we got upgraded to a wonderful junior suite since it is off season, and the 1st night we were the only guests there.
More later.
