Has anyone taken the overnight train from Guadalajara to Mexico City recently? I understand that train travel is questionable in Mexico but I have read that some trains are okay. Anyone know about this one?

I have never taken the train in Mexico, mainly because of the stories I've heard about horrendous delays and slow trains. I would recommend the bus, which I would estimate at about a seven hour trip from GDL to Mexico City. Take a first class or luxury bus as they are very comfortable and reliable, but still not very expensive. A good bus line is ETN, but there are many others. <BR>
