getting around -= El Salvador-Puerto Viejo-Roatan

I really don't know what I'm asking here, so please bear w/ me --

I'd like to know if it's possible to visit El Salvador, esp the volcanoes & Suchito, take a tour of the previous guerrila campsite, etc.

first-how do I get from the airport to there - the best way logistically, & safely

After a few days there -- what would be the best way for me to get to Puerto Viejo in CR? I'm assuming I'd have to fly into San Jose? But I'm not sure. Are there buses, & frankly, are they safe?

I know it's not possible to see everything (although I want to!).

Is this a crazy plan or not? Please advise.

Also, we would then like to get from Puerto Viejo to Roatan. How is the best way to go about that?

I think we'd like to stay on West Bay. I've previously stayed at the Infinity Bay, but it's quite pricey. Does anyone have a recommendation that is a little less pricey?

I also saw something called the Fantasy Is resort, it's in a different area of Roatan but it looks beautiful. Anyone familiar?

How's the Henry Morgan?

We'll have come from somewhat roughing it for 2 wks in Costa Rica & maybe El Salvador, so I think we'll be looking for a bit more comfort by then.
