G.A.P Adventure (Go Costa Rica)
Hi All
I am doing a G.A.P Adventure (Go COsta Rica) in June 2007 for 16 days, I am wondering if anyone has done Go Costa Rica adventure or one that is similar, also wanted to know the accomodations where we will be staying if known.
Itinerary is as follows:
Day 1 Arrive San José
Day 2, 3 Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
Day 4 Cahuita
Day 5, 6 La Fortuna
Day 7, 8 Monteverde
Day 9-11 Montezuma
Day 12, 13 Tamarindo
Day 14 San José
Then of course an extra day in San Jose.
This is my first time in CR and although it's 6 months away I am acting as though it's any day, guess its the excitment.
Would be very happy if anyone could respond to this.
Thanks
JB

I have not received my confirmation yet so am not sure, they told me look at the dossier, but I didnt see anything there. I just wanted other peoples experience, we may not necessarily stay where other people have stayed before.

brownjimi,
I'm sure you'll have a great time, but you'd have a BETTER time, I think, with fewer locations and more days to enjoy each stop. Two beach locations is plenty for 16 days. I'd be interested in something that would look more like this:
Puerto Viejo--3 or 4 days (not split with Cahuita--they are very close)
Arenal (La Fortuna)--3 or 4 days
Monteverde -- 3 or 4 days
Montezuma OR Tamarindo OR Manuel Antonio--3 or 4 days
PLUS I'd want a couple of days in the airport area at the end because there is SO MUCH to see and do out in the countryside all directions from San Jose. You would thoroughly enjoy any one of several day trip options with a full day near the airport.
Can you customize your itinerary or do you have to go with their schedule?
You'll have a great time (how could you not in this beautiful country?), but you'll be moving around an incredible amount of the time!

LoL
Yeah I thought of that but it is a set trip no changes, I have heard though that it is a great trip, even though we move around alot, there are plenty of things to do in between. if you go to www.gapadventures.com under Go Costa Rica you'll see the intinerary.
Thanks so much for your repsonse.
