Galapagos with GAP
A friend and I have booked a trip to the Galapagos in October. I was just wondering if anyone had any GAP experiences to share? This trip is a departure from norm for both of us and we are so excited!!!

Hi Solobydefault - since no one has answered would a second hand opinion help?
A friend of mine (solo female) took a GAP Galapagos/Inca Trail tour last November and was extremely happy with it.
When you say it's a departure from the norm - do you mean you usually travel independently?
You might also want to check/post the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree Boards as there is quite a bit of discussion on GAP (mostly the Inca Trail tour) that is generally positive.
It's a Canadian company so it gets a lot of friendly media coverage here (Toronto) - I've never heard anything negative about it......
We stayed in Galapagos for a month this past January and took a one week cruise - it was spectacular!

Thanks for the reply, I will check it out! I would say the departure from the norm for is me usually travelling solo. But for the both of us, the departure is due to the type of vacation. We both have done more large cities and urban areas rather than such a natural treat. I figured what better place to start making more outdoorsy trips than the Galapagos Islands! Thanks again for you info, I will take second info willingly and thankfully!
