We (2 adults) will be in Panama in a couple of weeks and i am trying to finalize Panama City activities:
1. we will arrive in PC at international ariport at 1pm. I figured by the time we're done with immigration and get to the hotel, check in and refresh, it will be 5ish. Is there an interesting and safe place to experience PC after dusk/dark or is this eve waisted (from the touristy point of view)
days 2, 3 and 4 are in sequence
2. we will be back in PC, 2:35pm arrival at the local airport (assuming the domestic flight is on time). I figured we're back at the hotel by ~4pm. Could i do the Canal and Miraflores locks - the museum closes at 5pm, but the restaurant is open, so we can park ourselfs there and watch the ships go by. will we see ships that late in the day/early in eve? Or should we do something else?
3. Full day in PC - we'll do the old city/new city and Amador with break for lunch.
4. 8am to noon - do the Cerro Ancon, hill the YMCA market and may be Mi Pueblito. Is it doable?
Would you change/re-arrange activities? What am I missing - will I get the sense of Panama City by carving out a few hours here and there? Pls advice and comment - thanks in advance!
Few partial days in Panama - pls help

Three weeks in August 2011 - trip report

You could go see a folklore show and dinner at Tinajas your first night.
Very doable make more time if you can.
Gamboa makes a nice visit if time.
Raddison my fav for price
Lots of action party buses cheap fun to hop on and off...
The area known as "Calle Uruguay" has probably a dozen or so nice discos and bars within a 2 block radius, and is the best place for partying. Calle Uruguay bar area is a very trendy scene. You will find here many restaurants such as La Posta, Peperoncini, Habibis, Tomate y Amor, Madame Chang, Burgues or Lima Limon, which make up a great pre-party event. After diner you can cross over to Prive, Pure, Loft, Guru or People for a more fashionable club scene. If you want a more relax bar, Sahara or The Londoner both offer retro music and pool tables. Another great spot for "bar hopping" is Zona Viva in the Amador Causeway. Zona Viva is a closed off area so it is very easy for you to find everything in one place. You will find here clubs such as Jet Set Club, the Building, the Chill Out Zone, X Space, etc.
Could one do Gamboa as a day trip and is it worth is (we will be coming back to PC after Boquete and the islands)
