Faxing CR

Hi, everyone - when making reservations for our upcoming trip, we're finding it really hard to fax information to CR. Each hotel asks us to fax a confirming reservation form, but they either don't go through or take numerous tries. Any way to make things easier? Wondering if there's some secret I don't know about... Thanks for any information you can provide.
