Expired Mexican Passport going to Mexico
So I haven't been to Mexico in a while but I am Mexican and I have a Mexican passport (however it's expired) and a U.S. Passport and I'm traveling to Mexico in a couple of weeks via plane and I was wondering if I could still use my Mexican Passport so I don't have to get a visitors visa FMM even though it's expired??

Nope. And the visa is more of a formality than anything else. You will fill out the paperwork on the plane, and they will stamp it and return a portion of it to you. Don't lose it. You will need it when you return.

If you are traveling on a US passport, arriving by air, and staying less than 6 months, wouldn't you just use the normal Tourist Card that they hand out on the plane?

Why would you not want to get one?

If you're thinking that since you're a MX citizen that you won't have to pay the fee for the FMM, good luck with that. The fee is included in your airfare. I've tried arguing that since I have residency I shouldn't have to pay the fee, but my plea fell on deaf ears. Your US passport will be OK to enter Mexico as long as it's not expired as well. Just fill out the FMM like everyone else.
