Esperanza in Cabo; input on resort and dining options

Hello all, We're headed to Esperanza Sunday on a bit of whim instigated by attractive deal (and "free" award flights). General input on the resort would be great. Also insight as to onsite dining options (we won't have a car). I gather meals are very expensive ... Yay or Nay? How can I minimize food expenses? Thank you!
