My family and I are going to Riviera Maya next week. while researching online for snorkeling tours near Tulum, I came across Edventure Tour company. Has anyone booked a tour with them or have any reviews?? Thanks

I personally haven't booked with them but I have many friends who have. They all give glowing reports on Edventure Tours. They are also given wonderful reviews on Trip Advisor. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them.

We had a fabulous time on our Edventure. They let you tailor your day to include or exclude whichever activities you prefer. We did the Jungle Place (spider monkey sanctuary) and snorkeled at a cent, Yal-Ku, and Akumal Bay (we saw several sea turtles). As they say, it will be the best day of your vacation.

We booked a tour with YucaTreks and had a blast. There were only 6 people on the tour. Small groups are the norm for them.

Both Edventure and Alltournative get great reviews on Trip Advisor.

I just returned yesterday from a fabulous week in Quintana Roo. We decided to rent a car and we visited the Jungle Place monkeys, the ruins of Tulum and Coba, a few cenotes, snorkeled with sea turtles and on the reef at Akumal, and hired 2 guys from the fisherman's cooperative in Puerto Morelos to take us to 2 excellent spots on the reef there - all easy peasy. The Jungle Place was $50/pp and the snorkeling in Puerto Morelos $18/pp including the reef fee; everything else was either free or under $5. I had originally planned to pick a tour but in the end we had more fun doing the specific things we wanted on our own so we could throw in beach stops, great meals at local hotspots, and shopping at groceries and local produce markets since we did most of our own cooking. At a wonderful little tile shop west of the highway in Playa del Carmen we found the perfect hand painted tiles for a kitchen backsplash, Merry Christmas to me.

I'll post a travelogue in the next day or 2 but wanted to put in my 2 pesos' worth.

Thanks for all the replies. We did an all day tour with Edventure and I have to tell you it was a blast! We went to Tulum and hired a great tour guide for the ruins. Then we went cliff jumping, ziplining, and snorkeled in dos ojos centotes. Next we went to Akumal and saw several large sea turtles and our last stop was snorkeling at Yal-Ku lagoon. We ended up getting there just after 4 pm and being it was so close to sunset it was absolutely beautiful. There were many fish to see. We capped the day off with a delicious dinner at La Buena Vida. I definately recommend Edventure tours!
