Ecoglide or Sky Trek?

read a lot of reviews and can't make my mind what to select. Sky track is much more expensive, father away, so more expensive to get there, but maybe it's completely different experience and we have to do it. We have 2 17 years old boy. I know it's much faster and higher then Ecoglide. With Sky Trek it's looks like it has to be at least 31/2 hours, maybe 4 ? with transportation. Will we have a time to do La Fortuna waterfall the same day or we will be exosted? Ecoglide much closer, so it's probably about about 2 and 1/2 hour whole things.
Sky tram+canopy is $73, plus $10 transfer, Ecoglide $45.
Thanks for advise,
I have to make a desicion we are leaving in a week

Are you traveling from San Jose? I can only speak of Sky Trek, but it's awesome! We also really enjoyed La Fortuna waterfall. If possible, where we stayed, I would suggest spending at least a cpl nights in Arenal. Enjoy!

Sky Trek is the most popular and most well known zip line in CR. That would be my pick. Also wonderful guides that are very safety conscious. I'm not that familiar with the other choice, but you all are staying in La Fortuna aren't you? I think Sky Trek is something pretty memorable that your boys would never forget. The other zip we've done pales by comparison. It's definitely a wow!

A good rule of thumb is to avoid anything with Eco in its name.

skytrek.com best by far in that area
I like EcoTrans greatfor transport out
of Liberia so some Ecos are good.
Hunberto Eco is a great author so
do not judge an Eco by its cover.

Actually, I have heard great things about Eco-glide. We have not used them but are planning to in April. We chose them over SkyTrek as 1) they use double cables and I liked the safety redundancy and 2) not quite as high or fast as ST (we are going with our sons ages 8,8 and 9).

SkyTrek is alleged to be a bit more thrilling and fast. With teens, it is probably a good choice.

Haven't done Eco-glide, but Sky Trek is great. Very high, very fast, but very safe. Our 8 and 10 year olds did Sky Trek with guides. Mom and Dad had heart attacks watching them disappear into the trees but the kids absolutely loved it and still talk about it 5 years later.
