Over the last several days, I notice the Dulera commercial on TV and thought, "that looks like Costa Rica!" I looked on line and others post that it is around Puerto Viejo/Manzanillo Beach.
Fun to see. I want to go back.

it was filmed in Costa Rica.... the two starring actors are friends of mine....

The ad is definitely filmed on the Caribbean site of Costa Rica.
The trail is in Cahuita National Park. The vendors could be in Cahuita or Puerto Viejo, though I'm pretty sure its Puerto Viejo. The cool rock formation is likely one of several south of Limon on the way to Puerto Viejo. Can oztravelz confirm?
Yes, it is definitely Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica: the vendors, the rock formation and I think that even the trail; it looks like that section near the 'rusted' stream at the end of the 'road' (though as somebody said the trail could also be in Cahuita, a little north of Puerto Viejo). Been there many times.
It was Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo. I have a picture of myself in front of the same rock. I was there in March and the tree looks exactly the same.
I would have to agree as we walked down the trail in Cahuita ,saw the sloth almost had our back pack taken by the capachuin monkeys and spoke to a howler monkey. Id say the vendors were at the southern end of the little town of peurto viejo. The small stone island csn be seen a little south of the beautiful beach in manzanillo. I was so taken by the solitude of it ive posted it as my profile pic on my Facebook account (which see). We stayed at Banana Azul and it was a great value with very friendly staff. Cant waite to go back. Robert Bitetto

the actors are Diane Lane and Tim Lane, they are actually husband and wife in real life and are the godparents of my daughter (and me to theirs).... really great folks... they enjoyed the shoot... and yes you are correct about the location....
The beach scenes are Punta Uva and Punta Cocles. The trails are probably between Punta Uva and Cocles and Cahuita National Park. The street vendors are located on the main street in Puerto Viejo! I was really proud with the scenes taking for the commercial in one of my favorite places! Try Le Cameleon Hotel in Punta Cocles!
I finally got to see this commercial - very cool.
The first time my husband saw this tv ad, he was totally convinced it was the carribean coast of CR. I saw it and recognize the area immediately. Cool!!!
Def is my beautiful country Costa Rica,, i could tell it was because i reconize the big rock in the ocean and the tortuguero canal

If you go to Youtube and search DULERA COSTA RICA, you'll find the clip. It's a poor quality reproduction of the ad, but it's there.
New Dulera ad running. Same woman, but she is at an airstrip with a lime green building in the background. She is then in a town in front of a red building. The rest looks like it is from the older ad. Perhaps someone will see this and know where the new locations are?
We're going to Costa Rica in January because of this commercial. I saw this before I had back surgery last year and told myself once I'm healed and can walk well again, I'm going to Costa Rica to treat myself! I hope I see a sloth and monkey like she did in the commercial and we're definitely booking the river boat ride.
I've heard about the local "airports" there so the new commercial must show her at one of those. My friends who have been there say they are like landing in cornfields with a small hut as the terminal. I wish they were still playing the old one but the music is still the same and has the same feeling to it that she can now go on her dream vacation!
