cozumel tennis
thinking of spending first few months of our retirement in either cozumel (never been there) or Acapulco (haven't been there in 9 years). We're kind of freakishly addicted to playing tennis and I can't find much info on tennis courts in Cozumel.
Any ideas out there? We'd appreciate it. Thanks.

laurela, Killing time at work on a Friday afternoon, and did some Googling on the subject. This is what I came up with for tennis and Cozumel:
9 Cozumel hotels w/ tennis courts according to Travelocity:
El Cozumeleno Beach Resort All-Inclusive
Sabor Cozumel Resort and Spa AI
Melia Cozumel AI
Allegro Cozumel AI
Hotel Cozumel and Resort
Iberostar Cozumel Hotel AI
El Cid La Ceiba Beach Hotel
Casa del Mar
Occidental Grand
http://www.saborcozumel.com/
Club de Tenis Independencia, Cozumel 77667, Mexico
987-564-3129
Tennis: Bring your rackets and enjoy tennis each day. Public courts are available at the sports field located on 11th Street and 40th Ave.

Laurela, I'm just curious...why would you post the question and then not check back for a reply for over a year?
So many people do that and I always wonder....why take the time to post in the first place if they aren't expecting anyone to take the time to respond?

We haven't been to Cozumel yet - went to Puerto Vallarta instead to test the retirement waters. I know you're the expert on PV and your info and trip reports were good reading. We LOVED it. LOVED it. Have pretty much decided on spending the month of Feb 2015 there.
TC: I really didn't check back for a reply at all after the first couple of days had gone by. Clearly, I'm the impatient type. I saw the reply when I went to the Mexico forums section and the topic had been moved to the top of the forum, hence the very late acknowledgement.

No problem, no reply, as far as I'm concerned. Happens all the time
You're right though, Puerto Vallarta is my favorite place. I'm hoping to live there part-time eventually.
(I come onto Fodor's thru my own profile page, so I always see when a thread I started or have replied to has gotten new replies. Just a thought.)
