Hi, Has anyone been to Costa Verde hotel? We have a reservation there. How is it?
Can you recommend things to do in the area? We would like to visit beautiful beaches, zip line, etc.

I've stayed a couple times in a Studio Plus room, great views from those. The hotel is very nice, spread out, with a couple restaurants and pools. Canopy Safari is really a lot of fun if you want to zipline, the MA park is good (get there early before it gets too crowded).
We stayed in a studio plus in CV 1 and stayed one night in the penthouse at CV2( the adults only section). Both were great and we would stay again.
I haven't stayed in Costa Verde, but I went to a reception there and it was beautiful. The hotel grounds are nice, and they have good ocean views.. Great on-site restaurants too!
For excursions in the area, I would definitely recommend going to the National Park one day, either on your own or with a guide whichever you prefer. It's a nice hike, lots of look out points, and beautiful beaches. The cost is about $10 a person to get in and make sure you bring food or water since you can't buy any in the park.. and like tully said get there early so that you beat the crowds. Also note that it is closed on Mondays.
Canopy Safari is a good one for zipling. They also have a serpentarium and butterfly garden.
For white water rafting I recommend Amigos del Rio, and they also have an ADR Adventure Park that is tons of fun - hiking, rappelling, ziplining, waterfalls all in one. The guides are so knowledgeable and you can tell they enjoy what they do.
