Costa Rica travel times --- MA & Dominical/Uvita

Jump to last reply

Hi - I have been seeing very different estimates of travel time in Costa Rica and need to get a better idea in order to adjust our plans. (We will be in mid-June Green Season)

- How long (really) does it take to drive (fairly confident int'l drivers) from SJO to MA?

- How long does it take to get from MA to the Domincal/Uvita area? (We are unclear if we are going to do a daytrip to MA or stay there for a few days?)

- How long does it take to get from Domincal/Uvita to SJO? I know there are two driving paths - mountains and costal.

I 'thought' i had read that the roads btw SJO and Domincal had vastly improved in the last year. But one website 'Hotel Cuna del Angel' says it takes 4.5 hours thru the mountains which is the shorter way. Tiki Villas website says its 3.5 hrs.

Thanks!!
