Done Michael and good luck!
GPS a must for me for newbies
The 28 MPH speed traps and $500 speeding tickets
on the PanAmericana in towns like Palmar Sur
Hurt rental business and tourism generally
from personal experience.
Anyone who can follow a (good) map will have few problems negotiating Costa Rica's major tourist destinations. (However, god help you if you take a wrong turn in Alajuela trying to find the airport.)
I frankly don't think tourists driving too fast, going around traffic by driving off the road and on shoulder, passing illegally and unsafely, are the problem. I've never seen so many citizen lawbreakers and unsafe drivers as in Costa Rica. I agree that selecting tourists for the tickets could kill (or injure) a golden goose.
GPS are not always reliable. One time I got lost I was following a car with GPS. It took us thru some coffee plantation roads.
I used the "ask a local" method.
thanks people for answer my survey
