Costa Rica quick help in Arenal and Monteverde

If we have 5 nights to split the two what do you suggest and where to stay, clean, great view and affordable! What MUST we do in Arenal and the Cloud forest? We are splurging when we leave to go to Osa. Anyone stay in the Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge? We are so Excited?

Thanks!!!!
Renee

I'd do three nights in Arenal and Monteverde. Arenal has ziplines, waterfall hike and swim, Cano Negro tour to see wildlife, whitewater rafting, Hanging Bridges, and natural hot springs. Just pick and choose your favorites. In Monteverde, we enjoyed a guided hike in the reserve, ziplines, and the night hike at Hidden Valley. Selvatura is pretty popular but we haven't gone.

I did stayed in Playa Nicuesa once. I love my stay the place is very beautiful and secluded. I would definitely go back in another time.
Enjoy your trip!

We didn't make it to Monteverde, but in Arenal we stayed in Lomas del Vulcan--little cabins at the base of the volcano. Very beautiful setting. lomasdelvulcan.com
