I'm making my first trip to Costa Rica July 21-27. I think I'll have time to visit Arenal and Monteverde, but I'd also like to visit a coastal location on the Pacific side.
I'd prefer a place that has snorkeling and a laid back atmosphere--no high rises and party types everywhere.
Anyone have a favorite beach spot? I'm traveling on a tight budget, so I'm not looking for a big resort stay.
Thanks!

I agree; I'd skip Monteverde this trip and just do Arenal plus your favorite coastal location; you don't really have time to do all three.
Thanks for the advice. I decided on Arenal and the Playas Del Coco area.
