Hello,
I am headed to Costa Rica soon with lots of wonderful advice from the Forum. Thank you. I am currently trying to determine if after a long day of expensive touring if it is worth admission to Eco Terminales for dinner and soaking. We are a group of four, two kids and two adults who are staying at a hotel with seemingly nice pools. I am happy to spend the money if it is a special experience, i.e. not something I could get at the hotel (Lost Igauna) and appropriate for a tired family. Thank you!

Yes, I think it's worth it. It's charming and locally owned. The Lost Iguana has a heated pool but not thermal pools like at Eco Termales. Eco T is more affordable than some other springs like Tabacon. I personally thought Tabacon was a little overpriced.
If you want to save some money, skip the dinner and just go for the hot springs. How old are your children? If they are very small, this may not be so much fun for them as it tends to be a more relaxed, tranquil setting.
Thank you for replying. I missed tagging it for Costa Rica which made it hard to find. The kids are 6 y.o. twins but well behaved. I just am unsure if $128 dollars for the four of us to sit in the hot springs is worth it after a day of touring where I can see more value in the activities. I am worried this might get old quickly and we have a nice hotel with relaxing waters.
Being 6, the hot springs would probably be a big yawn for them. You may all be pretty wiped out after a long day of touring. Better to relax around the hotel pool.
If you can swing the cost of Tabacon, they'd probably love that - it's big and elaborate with a water slide, etc. It's pricey though.
