Costa Rica and Panama with 4 Young Kids

Jump to last reply

We are looking for lodging and activity ideas for our family as we begin to swing down through Costa Rica and Panama from Nicaragua. Our kids are 9, 7, 5 and 2. We've been traveling for a couple months but haven't been moving around a lot. We spent a good chunk of time in Guanacaste and are ready to hit the road. We'll be arriving in Liberia via bus in mid-June and want to get to Arenal, Manuel Antonio, Tortuguero and then on to Panama - maybe Bocas del Toro, but definitely Panama City. We have a couple months to wind our way through and will have a car in Costa Rica.

Staying in houses or at least two bedroom places with a kitchenette saves us a ton of money and helps extend our trip!

We're hoping some people out there have traveled with larger groups and found some interesting places to stay and/or some good family activities to do. The kids haven't had a chance to snorkel yet, so that's definitely on the list.

All opinions and ideas are appreciated.

thanks
