Corcovado and Cano Island trips
Hi,
Hubby and I and our 2 kids (both under 10) will be in CR including the Osa at the end of March. We will be staying in Drake's Bay while in the Osa. What would be a fair price to expect to pay for a snorkeling trip to Cano Island and also a trip to San Pedrillo in Corcovado? Would most tour companies have discounts for kids? Do the trips to San Pedrillo typically include going to Punta Llorona to see the waterfall on the beach? The hotel manager said he usually calls around a day or two before you want to go to get prices. Do you think it's okay to wait or should we try to book tours before then? Thanks for any info!

Where will you be staying? Often times it's just best to go with the package rates the Drake Bay hotels offer. Almost all of them have a 3/night package that includes Cano Island snorkel and San Pedrillo hike.

I think you'd be fine waiting to book tours when you get there and let the hotel manager call around. If you were going an overnight in Corcovado that would be different. I went with Jinetes de Osa, known to be one of the best, and I didn't find them extraordinary. Anyone licensed to provide the tour takes you to the same spots and breaks at the same time where everyone rests and has lunch on the island. 10 and under is usually where you find discounts when they're offered.
