Copan to Guatemala City

I am interested in traveling from Copan to Guatemala City. I understand that it is approx. 5 hrs by road. Does the road trip pass through interesting areas? Can a private car&driver be easily arranged and, if so, what is approx. cost?
Is there an air travel alternative(charter or scheduled plane)? If so, what is approx. cost? Thanks to all responders.
