Contact for Royal service at the paradisus, CR?

Hi,
Does anyone have a contact for the Royal service manager at the Paradisus in CR? I tried e-mailing Donavan Garcia, but I haven't received a response. I did e-mail through their website and received confirmation of our reservations, but I would like to fax or e-mail some special requests to the right person.

Thanks

I'd love to know too!!! What about phoning to their front desk manager?? Did you book directly, or through an online or "hard copy" travel agent??? If the latter, they should be able to call directly to the hotel.
Wolfiesmom, when are you going?? My son and dtr in law have reservations for 4 nights (Royal Service) starting December 18th.You and they could also try exchanging email addresses and answer any specific questions after being there.

The specific person at the hotel who confirmed details for my son's reservations was Stephanie at in-house reservations. (She is the contact person used by a fantastic representative, Mr. Menchaca, at Leading Hotels of the World web site--highly recommended person, for future reference!!) Maybe she'll be able to give you a direct number for the manager you want. I hope this helps a little, Wolfiesmom.

Thanks Cali Nurse!! I think I will call the hotel myself, but I will try e-mailing again. I found a great price online and then booked with a travel agent who negotiated the same rate.
I will be going next week and staying for 3 nights in the Royal service suite. There are some great and informative reviews at this site:
www.debbiescaribbeanresortreviews.com/
costarica/melia

Most of the information I received about the Paradisus, I received from that site and also:
www.tripadvisor.com
Good luck!!!!

Try to reach out for Pedro Doñas at:
[email protected]

He was the manager of the Royal Service when we were there in 2003.

Thank you, Lisa!!! That should help future visitors to PPC a lot! What would we all do without Fodors site and Fodorites (or is it Fodorees)?
Wolfiesmom, please post description of your trip, and of course, details about PPC, soon after you return! Happy Trails to you.

Well, I e-mailed Pedro, but the e-mail was returned to me because his e-mail box was full. So I redirected my inquiry to:
[email protected]
and Ingrid responded very promptly- about 1 hour. She gave me the info that I needed and provided me with an e-mail for reservations and the fax number.
Just wanted to shar in case you can't get through to Pedro.
Thanks again for the lead,
BTW- Lisa, it is because of your pictures that I decided to book a stay there.

Lisa- I thought that there were junior suites, royal service suites, bali suites, and presidential suites at the PPC. Are the RS suites and Bali suites the same?? Do you know what kind of view the RS suites have (locations, etc). I am wondering what kind of view I should request (golf course, lake, ocean, garden etc.). Thanks for the info. BTW- I enjoyed the trip report that you posted as well- it answered many of my questions before I booked.

Lets see if I remember correctly.
Junior Suites are the regular suites throughout the resort.
The Royal Suites are the Bali or Presidential Suites and are located in blocks 1, 2, & 3 along the beach. The Bali suites are about the same size as the Junior Suites but with much nicer furnishings and all the extra services. The Presidential Suites are the size of 2 suites and are amazing!
Some of the Bali's face the beach area and some are located on the backs of 1,2 & 3 so you might try to request front facing, upper level if possible.
Take care, I am so jealous.
