Coastal resorts for mature single male

Looking for nice/luxury coastal resort that attracts singles over the age of 40. I realize that resorts are not specifically designed for the single traveler, but it would be nice to find places where singles vacation. I am a divorced male over the age of 40 and would like to visit with women over the age of 40. I have researched some in Cancun and Playa del Carmen. Any suggestions in these locations or other cities would be appreciated. Thanks

Mark

Anywhere right in town (not out in "Nuevo Vallarta" where many of the large resort properties are located) as far as the ability to get out and meet people.

Sunset Plaza, Secret/Now Amber, Villa Premiere are more high end. Or downtown there are all kinds of hotels or apartments for rent, a condo a Plaza Mar or Vista del Sol, or a beachfront hotel like The Tropicana. A B&B like Hacienda Alemana. There's lots of bars, restaurants, nightlife, and many people who vacation solo in Puerto Vallarta, all ages.

I was hoping someone would show up to help with Cancun and Playa del Carmen... I've never been over to that side of Mexico myself.

Zihuatanejo has a somewhat older crowd than most beach towns. Would guess the average visitor near 50 or maybe over.
Bandidos, the Barracuda, Zorro's & a couple of other places seem very popular with this age group.
A number of expats around in that age group that like meeting single guys.
I often travel alone myself But not in anyway unattached so I only have observed this not participated.

Playa del Carmen is a very lively little city with tons of clubs, restaurants, and small hotels. I don't know about the singles scene, but there is a good mix of all ages, with lots of Europeans. The beach is fabulous. There are no high rises in Playa, so it doesn't have the 'Miami Beach' feel of Cancun.

Just pick any hotel or resort and head to Playa del Carmen.
