Cell phone coverage in Belize

Jump to last reply

I was wondering what kind of cell coverage there is in Belize. I have a triband cell phone that gets international calling - but is there reception there? I have TMobile and it appears that they have a new international calling plan where you can pay $5/month and then your long distance calls are only .29/minute to a landline and .34/minute to a cell. Texts are only .20/text. That seems like a price that can't be beat - if there's a signal! I've gone the route of an international SIMM when we went to Costa Rica last year - but this would be less expensive if it works.

We'll be at both Chaa Creek and then in Ambergris Caye.

I've had no problems with signals in Mexico and Costa Rica - but not sure about Belize! I need to stay in touch with my business and would like to be able to call the kids once or twice!
