I was talking to a travel agent about places for a not too expensive honeymoon and she highly recommended Ceiba del Mar. She had been there, loved it, and made her son and girlfriend go, despite their lack of interest, and they apparently loved it too. She said they were new and so you would probably have to book directly with them since they aren't yet affiliated with a travel organization like Apple or GoGo. (So considering I couldn't have even booked it through her I'd assume it's an honest recommendation.)

I agree with you, I think it looks amazingly beautiful, but we were looking for an all-inclusive. Hope you enjoy it!

Thanks for your comments, Janet. Will probably try the Ceiba del Mar in spring of 2003. Have a wonderful honeymoon wherever you choose to go!

You might try the El Dorado Royale for an all-inclusive.
All rooms have jacuzzi, really a lovely place for a quiet, relaxing honeymoon but with 24 hour room service, hammocks on the patio of every room.
This property is handled by Funjet Vacations and several others.

Does anyone know what the beach is like at the Ceiba del Mar? Checked out the website, and I can't tell if there is a beach or not. Thanks!
