My wife and i are also traveling on 6/26 and are very concerned about the forecast. We are contemplating cancelling our trip and taking the loss.
This weeks weather forecast looks much different than next weeks forecast.
Anyone have thoughts about this weather news? http://hurricane.accuweather.com/blogs/news/story/51474/tropics-monitoring-southwest-g.asp?partner=accuweather

Here's what Dr. Jeff Masters from www.wunderground.com posted today:
The Atlantic is quiet
The Atlantic is quiet, but several models, including the NOGAPS and GFS, are predicting that a tropical disturbance capable of becoming a tropical depression could form in the southern Gulf of Mexico in the Bay of Campeche Tuesday or Wednesday. There will be a strong ridge of high pressure over the Gulf next week, which would tend to keep any storm that might form far to the south, with impacts limited to Mexico and perhaps South Texas.
No trip insurance? Always a risk booking travel during hurricane season to Gulf or Caribbean.
That being said, ALOT can happen in next 48 hours. The weather system may not turn into a named storm. Wait until tomorrow afternoon, and then check a couple other websites, or if in States, see what the Weather Channel is saying.

I checked another site, which predicts scattered showers for entire week. Guess another question is whether the rains usually start in late afternoon ..... for instance, in Costa Rica during green season (right now), it may rain every day, but often starts sunny in morning and then begins raining around 4 or 5 pm.
Not sure if Yucatan weather pattern follows a similar pattern.
Well, this morning it's hot again and sunny. Had a shower about a half hour ago that lasted 10 minutes and is now gone. We do get some in the mornings here and I would say it's half and half.
Thanks everyone for the comments. We are going to keep looking at the forecast and make the call later Saturday.
Well, I hope you get to come on down. Have a great time.
Looks like heavier than usual T-storms Sun/Mon then back to typical.
Here is your Saturday morning update.....sunny and hot. Yesterday we had two showers briefly and it was very hot. Today looks to be the same. Off to the beach. : )
I just looked at Accuweather again and the system they are talking about firing up in the Bay of Campeche will not bring that weather here apparently but into northern Mexico. I don't see anything else of concern. The other system to the south is way south and is predicted to stay south.
I talked to my husband a bit ago who is still in the U.S. and he said there's nothing that he can see to be worried about. He knows how the weather patterns here work so I'm not worried. No rain today.
