I am contemplating staying at this all-inclusive. I would very much like to hear comments from someone who has stayed there recently: best of, worst of, etc.
Thank you,
Don

Hi Don,
I just spent a couple of weeks there. It is an excellent resort. I have a friend who has a time share there. Actually he is interested in selling this time share. If you are interested send me a message.
Enjoy your vacation!
Don,
We went to Cancun and stayed at the Sheraton while friends booked the Cancun Palace. We thought we would stay at our hotel one day, theirs the next. What we found is that the Palace was more fun (we are in our 30-40's). The Palace offered the best pool activities (water exercises, tropical drink taste testing, etc.). They have very energetic activity directors. The food at the pool was very good. Nice pool with bar stools in the pool to grab a tropical drink and keep cool in the water. My friends could also visit the Cancun Palace sister resorts (Sun Palace and I think the other was the Moon Palace) which were included in the all-inclusive. My friends went back again to the Palace and I would too. If you wanted a more relaxed vacation, I would stay at the Sheraton.
DON: Hubby and I stayed at the Moon Palace Resort August 1998 and loved it. The food was great, the staff was excellent and the resort was beautiful. We took the two free tours (which you get automatically with a 7 night stay) and they were breathtaking. Only downside was the beach. It's full of seaweed and muck. They dredge it daily but can't keep up with the tide. You can lay on the beach but forget about playing in the water unless you want to get wrapped-up in the seaweed. We're going back in August, 1999 and have been assured by management that they now offer a shuttle to a private secluded beach area a short distance away. It supposedly runs all day long carrying guests back and forth. Also, all rooms are oceanfront with double jacuzzis. You couldn't get a bad room if you tried. Hubby and I went for relaxation. If you're restless at the Moon Palace, you can go back and forth to any of the other Palaces free (courtesy of the Palace Shuttle) and try out their beaches, pools and restaurants. E-Mail me if you want more info. If you haven't booked your reservation yet I can also hook you up with a Travel Agency who works for the Palaces exclusively. We got a great rate for our return visit. Have fun!!!
