Cancun car rental/emd3 plus others help!

In Tulum for a week, plus one day. Which rental service do you recommend? Plus, I guess we should take max insurance. We used Hertz last time and it was fine but I read such terrible reviews.

I have not rented a car in Mexico for at least 25 years but the only company I hear no anger about is Europacar.

This question has been asked many times. We usually use Easyway or America. Much cheaper than the international chains, and friendly service.

I've also used Easyway and get all their insurance including the zero deductible (called EPC). Covers everything except tire and glass (you can get coverage for that for another $5 per day.

I went to Easyway website. All the cars seemed to be manual. Is this correct??

Nope, my travel buddy had a Nissan Tilda this year and last that had an automatic transmission. Their website also lists a Dodge Altitude and several others, click on the button at the top that says "cars".
