Cancun all Inclusive

Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe - All Incl Plan

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

Golden Crown Paradise Resort Puerto Vallarta -

Does anyone know anything about these all inclusives? The first two are Cancun. We aren't looking for five star, but would like to have a good experience. Checking these websites, one said that your price only includes two bottled waters. Is that possible? All the food and alcohol you can manage, but only two bottles of water. For those of you have stayed in an all-inclusive, that may be a silly question.
As always, thank you for your patient, expert, candid, funny, and "you mean you don't know that" answers! I appreciate that you are willing to share your experience in an open forum.

I have stayed at many all inclusive resorts and they all included all the bottled water you could ever want. That limit seems crazy!
I'm not familiar with those resorts, but let us know what you are looking for in a resort and we can make some suggestions.

I'm sorta familar with those resorts and not places I would choose.

Unless you choose a more lux resort, some resorts do limit or do not include bottled water in the rooms. However, the water in the hotel dining establishments are filtered and no issue in drinking it.

Who is going on this trip? Are you looking for a family resort, couples resort, adult's only resort?

Look at the Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas. I'm not crazy about the RIU's, but for certain vacations they will work. This one is located in a great section of beach and within walking distance to lots of things. We stayed next door at the Oasis Viva, and wished we had chosen The RUI instead. All of the RIU's offer an included in room bar with alcohol, beer, sodas and water.

The hotels that are located at the top of the hotel "7" tend to have the better beach area. I'm not sure if the Fiesta Americana is AI now or not. It wasn't back in 2008. If it is it would be a great choice.

The Grand Caribe good reviews. As far as hotels, any of the Palace Resorts. They used to include some off site excursions. Not sure if they still do or not.

As for Puerto Vallarta, we did the AI at the Los Arcos hotel. I would not recommend unless you are like us and just choose AI for drinks and breakfast and still go off property to eat meals. PV has way more AI's now then when we went several years ago. Dreams gets pretty good reviews. It really depends on where you want to be. Most are not in close proxcemity of the Macelon or the shopping area. If that is an issue, check the location carefully. Anything within the Romantic Zone is a good location to get to most everything.

Here is my 2 cents.
Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe - All Incl Plan- older, dont know much on this one.

Golden Parnassus Resort & Spa - All Inclusive- 3.5 star IMO decent, good staff. We did not have any issue with limited bottled water

Golden Crown Paradise Resort Puerto Vallarta - PVR icky beaches except for Neuaveu Vallarta (sp) VS Cancun. Not even the same category.

Been to Mexico about 9 times... I use my travel agent for all recommendations for my trips.

Here are some places I have been that I like and would stay again.. Gran Caribe Real- 3.5 star but good enough food and pretty fun. large rooms.
If your budget affords the all adult go with The ROYAL in Cancun or Playa Del Carmen. 1 dining venue needs reservations.
Dreams Cancun is nice, I like no reservations for ala carte dining too.
In Riveria Maya (have not stayed here yet) There is a place called Ocean Maya Royal, we have priced before with our agent it was medium and is All adult. Good Luck! have Fun

Thanks for keeping me on my toes with details. When you haven't done something, it is hard to know the right questions. So here are some things that we are interested in for the All Inclusive:

Adults only
Great beach. A good place to hang out for the day and read.
Snorkeling area
small 2 man catamarans

We want a relaxing beach, good food, nice room -This doesn't have to be the Ritz, but we do want it to feel nice, clean and pampered, queen or king beds would be nice and of course ocean view, a balcony would be a plus. I have read the reviews on these and the words old and dated, and just okay are the stand outs. Somehow that doesn't sound very appealing. I learned that beach location is important too, as some areas are better. The beach itself is important to us.

The best adult's only AI in my personal opinion is the Royal Cancun. It is a little on the pricey side. We have stayed at their sister resort in Playa del Carmen and it's still my all favorite AI resort to date. Research further about their beach area as it has had it's issues before Cancun did their millions of dollars beach renovations. Pools are more important to us.

Here are some other adult only AI's in Cancun:

Excellence Playa Mujeres, Excellence Riveria Maya. These resorts are pretty far outside of the hotel zone, so if you want to explore you'll need a taxi or shuttle.

Grand Oasis Viva - The hotel is attached to the Oasis Viva and most of the amenities are shared between the two hotels. It's sits on a great section of beach and within walking distance to several things. When we went in 2008 it was not adult's only and they were still putting the Grande side into place. Now, that it's adult's only, I would give it a second look. The Grand side will cost more, but has it's on lobby and special perks that the older side won't have.

Le Blanc Spa Resort and Live Aqua resorts.

Secrets Silversands and Secrets Vine. Secret resorts tend to lean more to couples than adults.

Sun Palace is Couples only.

Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas is not adult's only, but tends to caters to adults. Their other resorts in Cancun are more family friendly.

For activities look at Aquaword:

We've done the semi-sub, parasailing and jungle tour

Also look at

We've used this company for tours in Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen and Cabo San Lucas.

If you like shopping check out La Isla Mall. It's an outdoor mall and has nice shops and restaurants. No hasseling. There is a dolphin show there certain times of the day. The Las Margaritas restaurant there is very good.

La Isla Mall could be in Paramus, New Jersey but warmer. Mainly the same stores. But...very safe. We let our teen girls go there by themselves in the late afternoon and then we met them for aquarium and dinner. It was very busy Christmas vacation. We liked the dolphin show and aquarium.
