I was thinking of using one of the airport shuttles from the Cancun airport to the Westin Resort, but after reading elsewhere it looks to me that the Westin might be nearly the last stop?
The shuttle goes to downtown first and heads down the zona hotelera from the north? Is that true? From what I can figure out the Westin is one of the closer hotels to the airport, and I really won't be in the mood to loop the LONG way to the hotel from the airport.

we were in cancun a few years ago. we stayed at one of the RIU's. we took the hotel shuttle. have you checked to see if they will pick you up. the "hotel zone" is probably a few miles long and we were at the end of the zone. All in all it was a 45 min ride w/dropping others off. hope that helps.
4k Westin is one of the first hotels on the hotel zone. So you will be one of the first to be dropped and the last to pick up.
They have shared shuttles for about 9.00 each. I like to use USA transfers. But that's a little more. Catching a cab is outragous like 35.00 so I don't recommend that.
