For some evening fun, try the Captain Hooks Lobster Dinner Cruise. It's open bar, lobster for dinner, and dancing all the way back. I've been twice and it is definitely worth the cost. Also there is a Catamaran trip to Isla Mujeres that is a blast too. I'm going to Cancun in 9 days for the 3rd time. Have fun.

I just got back from the Royal Solaris on April 27, 2001 and my boyfriend and I had a wonderful time. The staff is the greatest and the activities are so much fun. We are in our 30's and just loved it. The layout of the place is great also. Everyone was very friendly. The food was good, they had entertainment every night. At night if you want to venture out for dinner I have a few suggestions: Bogarts, Lorenzillos, La Dolce Vita, Savios, Maria Bonita, Captains Cove. You can take the bus which is safe everyone uses them and go wherever you want to go. The grill by the pool is opened all day and they have activities by the pool which start at 10:00 am and go until 5:00 pm. Definitely worth every penny. I can't wait to go back.

A great place to go and eat is Perricos. Besides food you will be entertained, with shows, jokes etc...throught you meal. This restaurant is in the downtown area. Just ask the concierge at the hotel and they will tell you were it is. Another advise use public transportation. Very cheap, runs every 5 minutes and safe. Taxis can ripe you off charging you more than supposed to.
Cancun is a blast. Its really a couple of vacations all in one. You have great beaches, great nightlife and the Mayan ruins make Cancun an interesting archeological trip.

I haven't stayed at the Hotel yet. But for fun I echo the other e-mails. Captain Hooks Lobster Dinner Cruise incredible. The grilled lobster is the best I ever had an the entertainment is wonderful. Perriscos in the City is a must. If you miss is, you miss a big part of Cancun.

Finally, avoid renting a car or taking taxis. Jump on the bus, relax and have a great time.
