Well Cabo San Lucas is NOT cheap, and I was eating in some very nice restaurants. And don't miss the fact that I had a cocktail or three many meals!

Also factor in that the peso is trading 14.5/1 at this time.

That means my 14 peso 2 enchiladas dinner at Zihua's Ricomar in Pozole Alley is now under .97 Cents. Guess I can stay 2 months! LOL

Suze, Great list! I thought Mar de Cortez was my private little gem; along with all the europeans that travel there. Spencer's is great for breakfast and also there is usually that little fresh fruit stand on the corner! I was enjoying the exchange rate too!

Hardingski~ Mar de Cortez was recently brought to my attention by Bill_H who kindly posts on this forum. That's what started my entire Cabo idea, as a matter of fact. It was absolutely my kind of place!

Yes the fruit guy is on the corner every day doing a booming business.

I'm a bit sorry I included prices above, because I don't want to scare people off from Cabo, that wasn't the point of my post. You don't HAVE to spend this much money on dinner. It's just that these were all VERY nice places, really special and well done, where I had lovely drinks and meals to wanted to share.

I'd put Nikki Beach ( http://www.me-cabo.com/NikkiBeach.html ) on the top of my list. The food is good but the atmosphere is great !

Thanks for the additional recommendation! I walked thru the ME resort (accidentally as I was lost on my first day in Cabo tryin' to find the beach!!) and it seemed quite a nice set-up.

Hi Suze -- Question for you...how long was your trip to Cabo? I found airfare for Feb 2010 for $298 (with one stop in Phoenix) and am *really* tempted to jump on it. I am trying to decide between a 4 night trip or a 5 night trip. With the 4 night trip I'm only there for 3 full days...the 5 night trip gets me a 4th full day. If I count your dinners, I'll assume you were there for 3 nights?

It's on US Air. Each way is $90...but when you add in taxes and fees, it comes to $298.

The only reason why I'm struggling with the 5 night trip is because it's one extra day of vacation, and I'm really really greedy with my vacation days.

(P.S. The airfare referenced above is from Seattle to Cabo)

hi beanweb~ I was there for one week (7 days, Sunday to Sunday) in early February this year. I just didn't bore you with every *single* meal I ate just my favorite places.

p.s. Did you also look at Aeromexico? I flew a nonstop flight for about that same price. 4 hours, Seattle/Cabo, it was brilliant!

A week - nice!!

I just looked at Aeromexico. The price is about $90 more...but I think well worth the extra money given that it is a nonstop flight. I would pretty much *have* to go for only 4 nights given the days of the week they fly...BUT the flight home on Aeromexico to SEA leaves at 7:00 p.m. versus the flight on US Air that leaves at 7:00 a.m. - so it's almost like getting an extra full day!

(I don't leave home for less than a week! I usually go for 10-12 days. I'm lucky in that I have a reasonably generous vacation allocation at my job).

I have an exceptionally positive experience the first time flyingn with Aeromexico. I hadn't flown them before and loved it. Like the "good old days"... neat & clean cabin, exceptionally nice looking & well dressed cabin crew, free movies, free drinks, box lunch, etc.
