Buenos Aires: Hotel Costa Rica?

I read rave reviews on TripAdvisor but I can't find any contact info for this place.

If you can help me out I would greatly appreciate it! A web address, email address or phone number, please?

Muchas gracias!

FYI: I called to get some info and was conncected to a man who was very kind, but spoke very little english. I have emailed them and hope to get more info. My spanish is just high school spanish and that was many years ago, so I hope that would not be a big problem.

Eurotraveller - Are you the same poster who shares my jewelry design business/hobby from the Thailand postings? If so, seems like we're following in your footsteps again. Have printed out your posts here for future reading - we're going in October. Any plans to buy stones here? Best wishes - Claire

How funny! Yes, that is me! Looks like you will be in Argentina before me.

I plan on heading to BA a few days before my boyfriend does so I can have a few days on my own to explore. I love traveling solo!

I am not sure if I will be making any purhcases but you never know!

Did you print out my thread with all the boutique hotels on it? I have found some very intriguing ones.

I find the TripAdvisor forum has much more info than this one does. Have you checked that one?

What is your itinerary?

Eurotraveller - Small world indeed!

I'm still formulating this one, but probably 4 nights in BA (want to do a day trip into the colonial town in Uruguay a short ferry ride away), 2 nights at Salta for the all-day train ride, 2 nights at the falls, 3 nights somewhere in the south to see penguins and whatever, then back to BA for the last night and home from there. Had a tough time zeroing in on an October vacation - hard to top Thailand and Cambodia, and don't want to be gone as long this trip. We really just decided this weekend on Argentina; did Peru last October. Thanks for the tip on boutique hotel post - hadn't seen it before and will print it out now. Haven't even picked a hotel for BA yet! Am on my way to dentist, where I plan to read your posts (hey, takes the pain away to escape via Fodor posts!).

P.S. - Made 9 drop dead gorgeous necklaces this past weekend (with my great Hill Triber silver) - all that vascillation about where to travel somehow inspired the creative juices!
All the best - Claire

Sounds like you only have 12 nights? You are sure going to pack a lot in during that time! I will have almost 4 weeks and I will be visiting the same places as you except for longer time in each region.

I haven't heard great things about the Train to the Clouds trip if that is the one you are referring to. I am not even sure that it will be running?

Cheers!
