Rozita,

As far as terrorism is concerned, Brazil is maybe one of the safest countries to travel. We do have some street crime in our big cities, no more, though, than you find in Miami, or Paris, or Barcelona. However, as far as you know your way around, you'll be completely safe.

In Brazil, muslims and jews are friends and get together. We are friendly people, despite our ethnic origin, and religious beliefs. Besides, the exchange rate is quite convenient for Americans now. Brazil is maybe one of the few countries where the Dollar rate keeps raising, despite the war and the American announced recession.

Come, and you'll be pleased, I assure you.

Regards,

S

No gambling in Rio, sorry to say, unless for bingo. Plenty of them, in fact..

The cell most probably won't work, but you should tell your friends to try to get this info from the cell company there, where they live. There are some cells that work all over the world, others, don't!

Regards,

S

Hi Rozita
as a brasilian woman, I can say that the brasilians are one of the people that care NOTHING about War, politics and such things (we have only life ordinary problems) We are very calm and do not like to get involved in these terrorism stuff - most people here are not even concerned about our own political problems...we do not like problems !
