Best way to see Rain Forest in Costa Rica

Has anyone taken a tour through the rainforest in Costa Rica without having to go white water rafting??? There are four of us who are not quite the athletes you have to be to go through these waters. Any suggestion.
Also if you had only 7 days in Costa Rica, what is a MUST to see??

There are many, many ways to see the ran forest that have nothing to do with rafting. There are horseback tours through the ranforest, canopy tours, including the 'rainmaker" which is suspension brdges not swinging on cables, 4x4 motorcycle tours, just hiking...I live n Manuel Antonio so am biased, but would recomend a trip through the National Park there. It is beautiful beaches and beautiful ranforest where the two meet and the entire walking trip can be bref if you just want a glimpse and a swm and hang out at the beach inthe end.
Also here n Manuel Antonio there is a jetski tour that goes in the ocean along the park and has beautiful views of the entre park with no paddling, no white water and nothing aerobic about it!
Best warm wishes!
Robbie
[email protected]

Try: www.ecoscapetours.com. Their 11 hour tour is just great. You see so much, including rainforest. It is a real value!

There are loads of options to see rainforests and cloudforests without rafting. There is a wonderful cloudforest in the highlands of the Sierra de Talamanca, less than 2 hours south of San Jose. You can stay at several different places just south of the small village of Canon. We really like the Genesis II private cloudforest reserve. This place is run by a very dedicated Canadian couple (Paula & Steve)who have built their own trail system and canopy tour platforms. It isn't cheap, but we found the experience to be well worth it. We also love the southern coastal rainforest on the Oso Peninsula. You can fly to Bahi Drake, or bus/drive/taxi to Sierpe, where a power boat can take you downriver to the coast. You can take a day tour, or overnight at one of the lodges/cabinas at the mouth of the Rio Sierpe or along Bahia Drake. Parcqe Nacional Corcovado is just around the corner, where you can take great short guided walks into the coastal rainforest.

Angel, we were in manuel antonio as well as corcovado in spring 2000. Both are wonderful experiences. Corcovado was probably better from the perspective of trekking and seeing wildlife, but there are some beautiful treks in manuel antonio too with a few secluded beaches to boot. you should tryt to do both.

we flew down to the Osa from quepos and the lodge arranged for our transport via Sierpe river as someone previously described. We stayed at La Paloma Lodge for 4 days. Highly recommended
