Best Place to Stay in Antigua, Guatemala

We just returned from a two week stay in Guatemala. The first ten days were on a conducted tour with Caravan Tours. Our tour ended in the city of Antigua where we stayed four days at the best place imaginable, Posada El Ensueno, a boutique hotel located in the southern end of the city. There were only three rooms, all extraordinary. The breakfasts were so elegant and more than you could eat. The owners would do anything to make your stay enjoyable. They will even prepare a gourmet dinner if you give them notice a day ahead. We had the most delicious dinner with the utmost atmosphere. Candles flickered all around. The surroundings were so pleasant with lovely plantings and a lap pool. We thought this place was " A Little Slice of Heaven". You won't be disappointed if you stay there. We heartily recommend Posada El Ensueno.

Enjoy!
