            Trip Report Belize

I just came home from a wonderful trip to Belize. I just wanted to let everyone know about the great places I got to experience so maybe you can benefit from it! We stayed at Toucan Lulu in Placencia for 1 month. It was perfect. Very laid back, the owner would help you out when needed not to mention it was right on the beach and within perfect walking distance to the Barefoot beach bar which is my next highlight. The Barefoot bar was amazing!! The bartenders (epescially Elvin) made us feel very welcome and at home. We felt like we belonged there! I cannot even put into words the great service we received from this place, you really have to experience it for yourself. We quickly became regulars and friends with the bartenders and met up with them outside the bar to get a better look at belize life.
We also went to San Ignacio. We went on a tour of underground caves and seen old skeletal remains. This trip we booked through our guest house Casa Blanca (which was a fantastic place to stay!! Cheap and great clean rooms!) The tour was called the ATM tour and is well worth every cent. It takes a bit of physical endurance and you find yourself in some small spaces at points just to warn you! We unfortunatly only got to stay for 2 nights but there seemed to be plenty more to see there.
We spent our last week in Caye Caulker. The scuba diving here is unbelievable. We rented an underwater camera, and booked our dives through Tsunami and it was perfect. The underwater camera took incredible pictures. We stayed at Beyond the Sea hotel. It was insanely cheap and clean! Also great location! The owner was extremely kind and helpful. The bar right beside it had great food for the best prices and we reccommend sitting at the bar and making friends with the bartender! We did and ended up going out clubbing with him that night! I hope this helps anyone travelling to this country!!
