Beaches: Cancun or Playa del Carmen?
Hello all! <BR><BR>From those of you who have travelled to Cancun & Playa del Carmen, and who truly treasure the enjoyment of clear, aqua, swimmable water with white sand beach...which do you think offers better, more beautiful beaches with the qualities I have described?<BR><BR>Thanks so much! <BR><BR>~Shawnie

Cancun on the Isla Mujeres bay side would meet your requirments the best.<BR>Look at Presidente,Calinda Viva and Fiesta Americana Coral Beach. If these are outside your budget than please consider Norde Beach on Isla Mujeres.<BR>Visit Isla-Mujeres.net

Have stayed in both places,and the better beach is definetly Playa del Carman.The water is so azure blue that you could probably read the date on a quarter at a 100 ft. The sand is white coral sand,soft and cool on the feet also you can walk out about700 ft before your over your head. enjoy.

I agree with Scott; PDC water is gorgeous! Also, the PDC area is much less touristy and crowded; it doesn't have the mega resorts; you can take the ferry to Cozumel and you're close to Mayan ruins. I went to Cancun once (and that was 10 years ago). That was enough for me. I now travel to Cozumel and south of PDC and really enjoy it. Enjoy!
