arenal without reservations

hi, i've been reading what everyone has been writing about costa rica and since we're about to go for our first time-it's all been very helpful. i have a question about the skytrek tour in arenal. we are scheduled to be there the first week in december- do we need to make reservations or can we just show up. normally, we'd just show up, but this is something i really want to do and dont want to miss out by not making a reservation beforehand. is the first week in december still fairly quiet? thanks!

Just to clear up your question, I believe that "Skytrek" is in Monteverde, but there is a hanging bridge system in Arenal...

You're absolutely right, my mistake. I've been concentrating so much on our first couple of nights in Arenal that I wrote Arenal instead of Monteverde. Any info on Skytrek would be greatly appreciated.

You can make your reservation through your hotel for Sky Trek. If you will be getting into Monteverde late you might want to make reservations ahead of time otherwise you should be okay if you do it when you get there. There is another option also....Selvatura. They have butterfly gardens, hummingbird areas, canopy tour, canopy walk. I have been hearing reports of good animal sightings on the walk.

Yes, Lisabel, Selvatura is great; the bridges were fantastic there.
